About the role

This role would site an experienced and customer focused Transport Supervisor who will be based at our Newman site.  This is a residential role, working an 8/6 roster.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Drive the Linfox Safety Standards at all times, and ensure that vision ZERO is a daily focus
  • Ensure that the Linfox LIFT Values are part of the operational culture
  • Day to day supervision of our Newman site
  • Support all contracts within the region to ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed in line with the operational strategy
  • Work with the Transport Team and third-party transport contracts to collect freight request
  • Schedule transport services to distribution hubs within the Pilbara
  • Build and foster a successful relationships with existing customers
  • Lead team meetings in the form of Safety Toolboxes
  • Ensure completion of reporting and investigations

About you

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
  • General Freight & Fuel distribution knowledge and experience
  • Complete understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of legislative requirements for transport in WA for Load Restraint and COR
  • Previous experience with load configurations, weights, truck & trailer type allocation, Permits, Dangerous Goods and general freight operations
  • Extensive exposure in implementing and managing site safety operations, incident investigations and actions
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, scheduling and rostering
  • Desire to challenge existing processes and procedures to drive operation improvements
  • Proven track record in performance management of staff
  • High customer service focus, excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders on all levels
