About the position

Linfox are currently seeking a Safety Compliance Coordinator for an upcoming opportunity within our FMCG Business Unit to be based at Erskine Park, NSW.  Reporting to the Site Manager you will provide support to our managers, client and employees to ensure a safe work environment exists within our network. This role primarily focuses on improving safety standards and awareness at customer level, offering greater management and improved customer interaction

You will play an integral role in maintaining the link between operations and safety by conducting incident investigations as well as training and presentations to ensure up to date information and to maintain safety as a front focus for all employees and the customer site. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Measuring, monitoring and providing reports on continuous improvement in safety and compliance 
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • Looking after the day to day maintenance of the safety system
  • Engaging and educating a variety of people including Linfox staff, external service providers and client representatives on changes and initiatives regarding the areas of Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance
  • Working across multiple sites to reduce the number and cost of workplace injuries and motor vehicle accidents
  • Investigating incidents to find root cause and contributing factors and recommending preventative action
  • Being involved in risk networks to develop solutions to major hazards within the business
  • Promote and ensure safe behaviors

About you

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Desire to establish effective long-term relationships by developing and maintaining a network of contacts
  • Previous experience in a logistics/transport environment (highly regarded)
  • Experience with certified safety management systems
  • Experience with WHS/OHS in an operational environment
  • Experience in incident investigation
  • Risk assessment knowledge and practice
  • Understanding of basic Microsoft Office applications
  • Reporting and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and deliver on tight timelines
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical thinker
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You will be required to meet Linfox's employment criteria which will include but not be limited to a Criminal History Check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.
