What does the job look like?
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking and trustworthy Yard Hand to join our team at Erskine Park. This role involves supporting our automatic truck wash facility and assisting with the delivery of Linfox equipment to our vendors and business units.
You’ll be a motivated self-starter responsible for cleaning and maintaining our modern fleet of vehicles. We’re looking for someone who thrives working independently in a safe and supportive environment.
You’ll also have the opportunity to assist our qualified tradespeople and contribute to general housekeeping duties in the workshop.
Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in and committing to Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements at all times
- Washing the exterior and interior of trucks and trailers with great attention to detail
- Assisting the trades team with general TA and workshop duties
- Maintaining the truck wash schedule
- Keeping the wash area clean and tidy
Are you the one?
- Previous experience as a Truck or Vehicle Wash Operator is highly regarded
- Minimum of a HC or MC licence is required
- Basic machine operator experience
- Vehicle or general cleaning experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Availability to work 6am – 2:30pm (overtime available)
