What does the job look like?

As the IT Business Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in enabling Linfox’s business outcomes by working closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities. You will translate business requirements into clear, practical solutions and support the delivery of initiatives that improve processes, systems, and ways of working across the organisation.

This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements
• Facilitating workshops to capture as‑is and to‑be processes and data flows
• Analysing existing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Supporting prioritisation of initiatives aligned to business strategy and value
• Working with architects, product teams, and delivery teams to design solution options
• Defining scope, success criteria, and business requirements with clarity
• Supporting project delivery through requirements clarification, testing, and quality assurance
• Assisting with business cases, cost/benefit analysis, and benefits realisation
• Supporting change activities including training, go‑live, and post‑implementation adoption
• Driving continuous improvement and best practice across business processes and systems

Are you the one?

You’re a curious and analytical professional who enjoys solving business problems and working collaboratively across teams. You communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and thrive in environments where priorities evolve and stakeholder engagement is key.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 1–2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Junior BA
• Experience working with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Strong process mapping, documentation, and analytical skills
• Exposure to enterprise systems (e.g. Finance, HR/Payroll, Procurement, Fleet, Data & Analytics)
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines
