What does the job look like?

The Manager, Linfox Academy, reporting to the Senior Manager, Organisational Design, is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the Driver and Warehouse Academy programs across Australia and New Zealand. The Linfox Academy, designed by Linfox for Linfox, provides a unique, hands-on learning experience in real work environments, upskilling employees and serving as a key entry pathway for long-term careers within the company.

This role ensures the delivery of high-quality training that equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive and advance within the business. The Manager is also responsible for building a sustainable driver pipeline, while promoting clear career pathways and a strong focus on diversity and inclusion throughout the programs.

The accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Develop Innovative Training Programs: Collaborate with the LOT team to design cutting-edge training programs that incorporate emerging technologies and modern instructional methodologies. Create interactive, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences for both online and in-person training formats, ensuring participants are equipped with the practical skills required for success

Diversity and Inclusion: Apply a diversity and inclusion lens across all academy programs to attract and retain a diverse talent pool. Promote the participation of underrepresented groups, with a particular focus on increasing female representation in the driver and warehouse workforce.

Program Administration: Work collaboratively with HR administration, operations trainers, and site management to ensure accurate record-keeping for all academy activities. This includes uploading training records, managing training bonds, and maintaining compliance with Linfox's IT and HR systems.

Collaboration with Internal and External Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with broader business goals. Partner with external training providers, personnel agencies, and industry experts to enhance program delivery and resource availability.

Are you the one?

This critical role supports the Leading the Way strategy and HR plan to ensure that the services offered continue to drive people's capability and talent within Linfox. You can demonstrate:

  • Current Certificate IV or Diploma in Training and Assessment
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale training programs, preferably in logistics, transport, supply chain or a related industry
  • Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion within training and workforce development programs
  • Strong background in data analytics and performance measurement in training contexts
  • Experience with using Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
