What does the job look like?

As the Senior Logistic Engineer, you will be partnering with the Linfox business units to support the development and implementation of transport focused supply chain solutions through RFP’s, transformation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work directly with both the broader Analytics Design Solutions team and business unit stakeholders to ensure that the Transport Analytics Team deliver high quality modelling outputs to support Linfox’s operational and strategic direction. Other duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Managing a team of supply chain analysts.
  • Designing and supporting logistics solutions for the business, including cost baselines and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Analysing data sets and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Performing operational profiling, risk analysis, and root cause problem analysis.
  • Developing and implementing innovative supply chain solutions to retain customers and increase market share.
  • Process mapping (As Is & To-Be), operational and system alignments, and productivity modelling.
  • Supporting business units in customer workshops and maintaining solution libraries and templates.

Are you the one?

You will have previous experience in a complex environment, preferably with exposure to transport operations, warehouse, and commercial disciplines. You will be able to apply your operational experience and process large data sets to develop solutions and recommendations for key stakeholders. Coupled with a curious nature and attention to detail, you will uncover valuable insights for the business to deliver improvements or strategic opportunities.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in supply chain solution design and data analysis.
  • Operational experience to apply skills learned in the field to solutions.
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding of business/operational cost drivers.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in reporting, analysis, and Excel.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively across various levels within the organization.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement activities.
