What does the job look like?

Reporting to the Group Manager, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for our State Transport Network, leading performance across safety, service, people and financial outcomes. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on strengthening customer partnerships, driving operational excellence and empowering our frontline teams to deliver consistently high standards.
You’ll collaborate closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including customers, site operations, drivers, subcontractors and senior Linfox leaders. Your ability to influence, lead with empathy and build trusted relationships will be essential to your success. Key areas:
- Lead transport operations to achieve safe, timely, efficient and cost-effective results
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure service expectations are met or exceeded
- Provide operational oversight including resource planning, business continuity and performance improvement
- Manage P&L performance, budgets and commercial outcomes
- Mentor, coach and develop leaders to enhance capability, succession and engagement
- Foster open communication across teams, customers, unions, subcontractors and stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best-practice transport processes
