What does the job look like?

As Shift Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of our Chullora day shift operation, leading a team of approximately 20–30 people to safely deliver customer and operational requirements. You will coordinate resources, manage productivity and priorities, and drive a positive, safety-focused culture while ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched on time. Key areas:

• Lead day-to-day shift operations, coordinating resources, workload and priorities to meet operational requirements.
• Drive safety performance by identifying and controlling risks, supporting incident investigations and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Manage labour and resources dynamically to achieve site productivity targets and operational demand.
• Deliver service outcomes by ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched on time.
• Develop team capability through effective training, coaching, competency management and shift-start communication.
• Manage expenditure, productivity performance and operational planning across leave, volume peaks and resource requirements.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced operational people leader with end-to-end warehouse knowledge and a strong focus on safety, productivity and customer outcomes. You can lead and develop results-focused teams while making timely decisions and driving improvement in a fast-paced operational environment. You can demonstrate:

• Experience leading and developing results-focused teams, including people and workforce management.
• End-to-end warehouse knowledge across receiving, putaway, picking, replenishment, returns and despatch.
• Experience managing workforce productivity measures and operational performance.
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulations, including Chain of Responsibility.
• Strong capability with warehousing and RF systems.
• First Aid qualifications, with Occupational Safety or Risk Management qualifications desirable.
