What does the job look like?

As one of the largest logistics companies in the Asia-Pacific region, Linfox Logistics is committed to ensuring positive workplace relations across our operations. 

As the Workplace Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for the provision of high-level IR advice and services to the business, and the development of strategies to support the effective management of IR matters across the business.

Key areas:

  • Providing specialist workplace relations and policy advice to the site leadership group
  • Developing a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements and their provisions to help drive the efficiency of the operation and the ability to implement change.
  • Managing a high-volume complex case load of workplace grievances, disputation, breaches of operational procedures, misconduct, and other issues
  • Preparation of submissions and advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals/courts
  • Providing guidance and recommendations on diverse employee relations issues to minimise risk and financial exposure.
  • Supporting management and regularly contributing to the resolution of formal/informal disputes with staff and unions

Are you the one?

You will have proven experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with union organisations, development and implementation of enterprise agreement bargaining strategy, and management of dispute and disciplinary matters. You can demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in industrial relations, law, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a highly unionised blue-collar environment.
  • The ability to manage a range of competing complex IR matters; prioritising to meet deadlines and team objectives.
  • Conducting Workplace investigations in accordance with relevant legislation and polices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide effective advice and solutions.
