What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Defence contract has an opportunity for a Training Manager based at either Moorebank, NSW; Amberley, QLD or Bandiana, Vic. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of training within the warehouse and distribution (W&D) sites supporting Joint Logistic Command for the Government and Defence Business unit. Key areas:

  • Ensure the operational training requirements are met for all sites
  • Mange a group of full time and site based trainers
  • Ensure training services are planned and coordinated to standards prescribed by Linfox
  • Identification and understanding of Linfox training needs for all staff in the W&D contract
  • Manage the implementation and delivery of training programs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external Defence organisations and key contacts

Are you the one?

You can demonstrate:

  • Prior experience as a trainer within a warehousing and distribution environment (Defence environment highly desirable)
  • Prior experience in vehicle training with a sound knowledge of Defence manual in regard to vehicle operation
  • Thorough knowledge of chain of responsibility
  • Experience managing multiple sites’ training activities
  • Experience in training and assessing safe operations of MHE
  • Ability to take the lead with innovative approaches to continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of the use of MHE within the warehouse environment
