What does the job look like?

Join our Retail team as a PM Shift Manager based in Eastern Creek, NSW, where you'll lead transport operations for one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains. This key role involves overseeing a high-performing team responsible for allocations, route planning, and dispatching metropolitan deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the PM shift. You’ll work 12-hour shifts from 4 PM to 4 AM on a 3-2-2-3 rotating roster. Step up to make an impact on a team that’s driving success in the retail sector!

Key areas:

  • Provide strong leadership to a team of allocators and drivers, fostering effective communication and collaboration across all shifts.
  • Manage route planning and driver allocation with a focus on operational efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, handling escalations and operational challenges proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records related to delivery schedules, run sheets, and compliance requirements.
  • Uphold Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements consistently, promoting a safety-first culture.

Are you the one?

We're seeking seasoned transport professionals with experience in scheduling/allocation or relevant operations, offering training and support for the ideal candidate. You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation, and shift management.
  • Advanced computer skills with preferred experience in Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Sydney metro area for effective route planning.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and collaborate with a diverse team.
