What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit is currently seeking casual HC drivers to join our team located in West Melbourne VIC. As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering single container loads with a variety of freight from major customers. This opportunity will provide a blend between operating a HC vehicle and operating a reach stacker to transport containers based on operational requirements. We currently have a casual opportunity available on afternoon shift working Monday to Friday, commencing at 5:00pm - 1:00am. Key areas:

• Deliver containerised freight both locally and throughout the region.
• Daily prestart checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior.
• Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
• Occasional reach stacker operation to transport containers around the Linfox yard
• Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed.
• Comply with Linfox’s coupling & uncoupling procedures.
• Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus.

• Current HC licence
• Experience operating a reach stacker would be highly regarded
• Current reach stacker licence (CN - High Risk Work Licence) 
• Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Melbourne region and beyond.
• Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction.
• History of safe work practices & excellent communication.
• Rail experience highly regarded but not essential.
