What does the job look like?

Join Linfox as a Shift Manager and play a key role in overseeing operations across both cold storage and ambient warehouse environments. You’ll lead and support teams to deliver outstanding results, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction in every shift. This is your opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic logistics setting, managing resources and priorities for both temperature-controlled and ambient storage areas. This role will be based at our Laverton North site and will be Afternoon shift (3pm – 11:30pm). Key areas:

  • Oversee shift operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve site targets and foster a positive culture.
  • Manage site safety, risk registers, and incident reporting in line with Linfox policies.
  • Allocate resources and labour to meet volume requirements and priorities.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate key safety and operational targets.
  • Maintain accurate payroll, time, and personnel records.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Are you the one?

We are seeking a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to staff development. You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in warehouse operations, ideally in a retail or automated/sorter environment.
  • Proven people management and team leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian transport rules and warehouse processes.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and deliver results.
