What does the job look like?
We're seeking a hands-on Transport Supervisor to lead daily operations and drive proactive performance across our transport team. You'll oversee drivers and schedulers, identify and resolve issues before they escalate, and ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient service delivery. This role is based at Hazelmere and works Monday - Friday, initially on 12-month contract with potential to go permanent. Key areas:
- Ensure all Safety & Compliance requirements are adhered to in line with the operational plan
- Supervise schedulers and drivers in day-to-day operations
- Support schedulers in optimising transport network and asset utilisation
- Conduct yard walks, spot checks, and ensure MT Data compliance (e.g. pre-starts, fatigue checks)
- Investigate safety, operational, and compliance issues; report findings with corrective action plans
- Maintain open communication with all stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
