What does the job look like?

Linfox have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to join our team in Laverton North, VIC to lead our road linehaul and changeover operations.This role is ideal for a passionate leader who understands the complexities of linehaul scheduling, fleet utilisation, safety & compliance and people leadership in a high-volume transport environment. Key areas:

  • Championing Vision Zero & Leading a safety-first culture
  • Managing and developing transport leaders and operational teams 
  • Overseeing linehaul planning, fleet utilisation, driver allocation and service execution
  • Driving compliance with COR, fatigue management, mass management and WH&S requirements
  • Monitoring KPIs relating to service, cost, productivity and asset utilisation
  • Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency and network performance
  • Managing customer relationships and resolving service issues end-to-end
  • Ensuring accurate cost and revenue capture within reporting periods

Are you the one?

This role will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience managing linehaul or large-scale transport operations and who is determined to embed positive leadership across our operations teams. 
  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or Operations Leader within a large scale linehaul network 
  • In-depth knowledge of COR, fatigue, mass management and transport compliance
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, time-critical transport environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs and deliver margin
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions
  • Clear, confident communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
