Key Responsibilities
With a high focus on high-quality service work, perform routine servicing tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to keep vehicles running smoothly and meeting emissions and fleet standards.
- Using your experience, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and systems.
- Inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for wear or issues with no heavy overhauls required.
- Replace parts and reassemble components with precision.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, prepare detailed reports and issue roadworthy certificates.
- Test and adjust mechanical systems post-service to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide occasional on-site support for breakdowns with a focus on quick fixes and getting vehicles back on the road.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Qualifications & Experience: A Mechanical Trade qualification with proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals accurately.
- Licensing: An HR/HC licence is desirable but not mandatory.
- Time Management: Strong ability to adhere to schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive approach to work with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
