What does the job look like?
Linfox partners with Australia’s leading Resources and Industrial organisations to deliver safe, reliable and specialised logistics services across the country. We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead our Pilbara teams and champion operational excellence for our customers.
Reporting to the State Transport Manager, you will be accountable for safety, operational performance, financial outcomes and customer service across the region. You will work closely with major global customers, delivering efficient long‑distance transport solutions and supporting their ability to move products to market. This role is available on a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO roster or as a Port Hedland residential position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility and all quality, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee operational performance across a geographically diverse network, driving improvement, innovation and capacity planning.
- Provide effective commercial leadership across a significant portfolio of accounts, ensuring services meet contractual commitments and cost discipline is maintained.
- Manage and develop operational leaders, subcontractors and frontline teams to build high‑performing and engaged workforces.
- Strengthen customer relationships through proactive communication, issue resolution, new customer integration and identification of growth opportunities.
- Develop operating budgets, analyse resource utilisation, optimise routes, and ensure effective management of fleet, maintenance and subcontractor performance.
- Implement and embed policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Are you the one?
You are an experienced operations leader with a strong background in transport, logistics or supply chain. You thrive in fast‑paced, complex environments and bring a practical, solutions‑focused leadership style.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and manage supply contracts.
- Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams to achieve high performance.
- Solid understanding of financial drivers, cost control and operational budgeting.
- A process‑driven, analytical and methodical approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
