What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit have an exciting Transport Operations Manager opportunity located in Acacia Ridge QLD. In your new role, you will lead a critical function within the network by championing safety, operational performance and customer outcomes while developing a high‑performing team within a complex environment. This is a full-time permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday, commencing between 8:00-9:00am. Key Areas:

  • Champion a strong safety culture aligned to Vision Zero, ensuring full compliance with WHS, COR and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee end‑to‑end operations supporting  rail services, including PUD, time-slot management and container lodgement's
  • Lead, coach and develop direct reports and the broader operational workforce to deliver efficient performance
  • Drive commercial outcomes through cost control, performance analysis and optimisation of operational activities
  • Deliver customer service excellence by coordinating service delivery and resolving operational issues
  • Monitor and improve operational KPI's to enhance service levels, utilisation and efficiency

Are you the one?

You are a proven operations leader from the Transport/Logistics industry who succeeds in fast‑paced and safety‑critical environments. You also thrive in leading diverse teams, applying efficiencies to operations and taking ownership to drive strong daily outcomes. 

You can demonstrate: 

  • 3+ years of experience within an Operations Leadership role within the road and/or rail logistics industry
  • Proven leadership experience across blue‑collar and white‑collar operational teams
  • Strong understanding of local and interstate transport operations
  • Commercial exposure, with the ability to manage costs and understand financial performance drivers
  • A process‑driven, analytical and methodical approach to operational decision‑making
  • A strong safety and compliance mindset within complex transport environments
