What does the job look like?
We’re looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager to support the effective management of Early Intervention Program and SRC rehabilitation cases, ensuring timely, durable and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes. In this role, you’ll work closely with injured employees, leaders, health providers and internal stakeholders to remove barriers to recovery and deliver high‑quality rehabilitation outcomes in line with legislative requirements.
This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing end‑to‑end rehabilitation and Early Intervention Program cases with a focus on early intervention and durable return‑to‑work outcomes
- Coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation strategies aligned to business and claims management objectives
- Developing, implementing and reviewing Suitable Duties Plans (SDPs) and Recovery and Return to Work Plans
- Liaising with treating health professionals to ensure clear understanding of suitable work options
- Maintaining open, proactive communication with injured employees, managers, unions and service providers
- Monitoring Workplace Rehabilitation Provider (WRP) performance on individual cases
- Ensuring compliance with the SRC Act, Rehabilitation Guidelines and internal processes

You’re confident making evidence‑based decisions, comfortable managing competing priorities, and motivated by helping people recover and return to meaningful work.
Whether you’re an experienced clinician or a graduate with strong clinical foundations, you’ll thrive if you value early intervention, collaboration and real‑world outcomes.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology or similar)
- Strong clinical or medical‑based experience
- Ability to assess work capacity and apply clinical judgement in occupational settings
- Confidence engaging with employees, leaders and medical providers
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills in high‑pressure environments
- Willingness to travel to sites (including occasional long‑distance travel approximately once per month)
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to injury management
