What does the job look like?

Lead one of Queensland’s largest transport operations supporting a major supermarket customer. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key leadership role across a workforce of 150+ employees in a complex 24/7 environment. You will drive operational performance, build capability and help create a strong safety and people culture. This is an opportunity to make an impact at scale within a high-profile operation. • Lead day-to-day transport operations, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable service delivery across a complex retail transport network.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance through visible leadership, accountability and operational discipline.
• Coach, mentor and develop leaders, building capability, succession strength and high-performing teams across the operation.
• Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency and service outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer and internal stakeholders to support exceptional service and operational alignment.
• Provide leadership continuity and support the Site Manager by strengthening frontline oversight, engagement and execution across the site

Are you the one?

We are looking for a seasoned logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings proven leadership and operational expertise within the supply chain. You can demonstrate: 

• Proven experience leading large operational workforces of 100+ employees in logistics, supply chain or related operational environments; transport industry experience highly regarded.
• Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building capability, engagement and accountability across teams.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to balance safety, service and operational performance outcomes.
• Confident decision-maker who can lead through complexity and competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence customers, employees and subcontractors.
• Experience leading workforce change, improving culture and driving high-performance outcomes.
