What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal have an opportunity for a Transport Manager to support freight operations for a major customer based out of Gillman, South Australia. In your new role, you'll take ownership in delivering safe, compliant and cost-effective freight solutions for one of Australia's largest brands. You will lead subcontractor linehaul operations, coordinating final-mile store deliveries, maintaining strong customer relationships and driving operational performance across a high profile customer. 
 
This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30am. Key areas:
  • Lead daily transport planning and freight dispatch activities across the Intermodal network
  • Coordinate subcontractor and driver resources to ensure service commitments are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Deliver final-mile transport solutions across a multi-site retail distribution network. Based on user-provided Job Brief Summary.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and key internal stakeholders to support operational excellence
  • Monitor operational performance, profitability and cost outcomes against contractual requirements
  • Champion safety, fatigue management and compliance standards across all transport activities. Based on user-provided Job Brief Summary and Safety Focus section

Are you the one?

You are an experienced transport or logistics leader with a strong background managing linehaul operations, subcontractor networks and customer-focused transport services. You enjoy solving problems, working autonomously, analysing costs and leveraging systems to optimise operational performance. You can demonstrate:
  • 2-3 years of experience managing linehaul transport operations within the Logistics/Transport industry
  • Proven leadership capability across transport, warehouse or operational teams
  • Strong understanding of transport safety, fatigue management and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing subcontractor and carrier relationships
  • You're tech savvy and have experience working with Transport Management Systems
