What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal rail business unit are currently seeking a Yard Operator/HC/HR driver to join the team located in East Arm NT. You will be completing general yard duties operating a LF forklift loading and unloading containers and rigids, collecting, and dropping a variety of equipment to service and providing driver coverage when needed.

Semi Coverage will be responsible for safely transporting container loads carrying a variety of grocery products, delivering to 5-7 retail customer stores locally within Darwin. You may be completing 2-6 loads per day, operating our automatic Volvo fleet.

Rigid Coverage will be responsible for safely transporting pallet loads carrying a variety of grocery dry/refrigerated products to multiple locations. You may be completing 2-3 loads per day.

We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available, working Monday to Friday. Starting between 5:30am/7:00am, completing 38hrs per week. Key areas:

• Transporting container loads to customer docks, assisting with unloading pallets.
• Loading rigids on a customer site and completing multi drop deliveries.
• Loading rigid vehicles for delivery.
• Reworking pallet returns.
• Various yard duties.

• Current and valid HC license.
• LF forklift license.
• Familiarity operating an electric pallet jack.
• Familiarity with Darwin metropolitan and regional areas.
