What does the job look like?

Based out of Truganina, our Retail team is seeking an Transport Allocator to work on a rotating roster from 04:00am - 04:00pm (7 days per fortnight). In this role, you will be working for one of Australia's largest supermarket chains, overseeing allocation and scheduling of Linfox fleet. Key Areas:

• Determine and arrange the daily schedule and vehicle requirements according to volume and customers’ requirements
• Liaising with customers for load requirements ensuring enough time is allocated for staging and loading
• Monitoring drivers’ fatigue – this includes drivers declaration and run sheet checks
• Driving the commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Linfox in a professional manner
• Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation

Are you the one?

You possess a background in coordinating logistics and excel in a high-paced setting. You can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in the transport industry
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulation including Chain of Responsibility
• Effective customer interaction and issue resolution skills
• Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement
• Demonstrated understanding of managing priorities in the workplace with a high attention to detail
