What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is currently looking for a Subcontractor Network Manager based in Acacia Ridge, to oversee our QLD/NT Subcontractor operations. As part of this role, you will play a crucial part in the onboarding, management and continuous oversight of our subcontractor network for these regions. The primary objective of this role is to ensure safety, compliance, service excellence, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement, aligning with the expectations of both our customers and internal stakeholders. Key areas:

  • Efficiently managing the onboarding process for all new subcontractors entering the business or being sourced for new opportunities.
  • Ensuring the Subcontractor driver group operates within the guidelines outlined in the Linfox Driver Policies/Procedures and complies with the Service Level Agreement terms and conditions.
  • Holding subcontractors accountable for the ongoing training of their driver groups, ensuring that refresher training timelines are met and maintained.
  • Assisting the overall Linfox Business in establishing and sustaining a high-quality subcontractor pool.
  • Cultivating and nurturing successful relationships with site teams through consistent communication and prompt responses to raised issues.
  • Supporting the activities of transport teams to ensure service delivery standards and customer expectations are met.

Are you the one?

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-motivated and strong operational leader with previous experience managing subcontractor networks. You will be able to effectively manage your time to ensure objectives are met with the ability to adapt to fast paced changing environment.  You can demonstrate:

  • Operational experience within the transport/logistics industry (essential)
  • High regard for safe working practices, understanding of COR and vehicle compliance
  • Knowledge of fatigue management and heavy vehicle safety
  • Proven leadership capabilities including ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining subcontractor networks across QLD/NT
  • Strong operational skills with demonstrated attention to detail, and ability to seek out improvements in processes
