What does the job look like?
Linfox partners with leading mining companies, providing specialised logistics services across the country. We are seeking a Yard Supervisor to oversee storage warehouse and yard operations for a highly-valued and long term mining customer.
This is a customer dedicated role, requiring a logistics leader ideally experienced with both warehousing and transport committed to high safety and compliance standards. Key areas:
- Supervise warehouse and forklift operators, ensuring safe and cost-effective outcomes are achieved for Linfox and the customer
- Coordinate freight and trucks in back freight area, including subcontractors and couriers
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders with proactive communication with customer
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive culture amongst the team
- Proactive frontline leadership to ensure safe traffic and risk management
Are you the one?
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hands-on supervisor to drive operational excellence. An ideal role for a warehousing or transport professional who is passionate about best practice safety standards and confident in dealing with various freight profiles. You can demonstrate:
- Experience as a people leader in a supervisor role with ability to motivate and drive performance
- Good understanding and experience with load restraint of ugly freight, Chain of Responsibility regulations with exposure to Dangerous Goods handling an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to relationship management
- Passionate about driving a culture of best practice safety
