What does the job look like?

Reporting to the Regional Manager, as the Site Manager you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Defence site in line with company, customer and regulatory standards. Key areas:

  • Lead your teams across a variety of warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and accuracy are prioritised
  • Manage all aspects of the operation including human and capital resources
  • Develop robust professional relationships with the customer
  • Develop innovative solutions and procedures to improve operational efficiencies
  • Ensure operational and financial KPIs are met in line with customer requirements
  • Continual analysis of current practices for the development of ongoing continuous improvement strategies

Are you the one?

You will have proven experience in managing both team and individual KPI targets and an understanding of inventory reporting including cycle counts, releasing and tracking of orders. The ability to ensure consistent and collaborative leadership to effectively deliver incredible service in a cost-effective and efficient manner. You will have: 

  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience within warehouse operations with a drive for safety and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-performance teams and culture.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and be able to implement these strategies.
  • The ability to take the lead with innovative approaches to continuous improvement, relating to safety, people engagement and operations.
  • Experience in conducting operational reviews and financial reporting.
