What does the job look like?

Join our VIC Retail team as a Safety and Compliance Coordinator and play a key role in keeping our transport operations safe, compliant, and well-supported. This is a detail-focused role where you'll lead audit activity, manage safety reporting, and work closely with site teams to maintain high standards. The role involves regular travel across multiple Retail sites in Victoria, with a strong focus on providing support where it's needed most.

  • Lead and manage audit schedules, safety reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Maintain key data sets (e.g. TRIFR, MVIFR) and prepare weekly safety presentations
  • Support Retail sites with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue, mass, and load compliance
  • Assist with incident investigations, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Align and update documentation and induction materials for new site go-lives
  • Visit VIC sites to deliver training, coaching, and on-the-ground safety support

Are you the one?
You’re organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple sites and systems. You bring strong safety knowledge and a practical mindset, with the confidence to support teams and influence safety outcomes. You can demonstrate:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (Lead Auditor certification a bonus)
  • Experience in transport safety, compliance, and incident investigation
  • Strong background in auditing and documentation management
  • Comfortable learning and working within safety and compliance systems
  • Experience in transport, logistics, or retail environments
  • Able to present and engage confidently with operational teams and stakeholders
