About the Role as the Victorian Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our transport services. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the daily transport operations for a major customer while collaborating closely with our team and customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements at all times.
• Oversee the financial performance of your site, achieving profitability targets and key performance indicators for contracts.
• Maximise resource utilisation to improve operational procedures and outcomes.
• Lead, motivate, and support the operational team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs, maintaining regular personal contact, and demonstrating a genuine commitment to their success.

About You This is a key leadership role requiring an experienced transport industry professional. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, shaping an inclusive and accountable culture while making sound commercial and operational decisions. You can demonstrate:

• A passion for leading people, coaching and mentoring to create high performance teams
• Previous experience in transport operations, with exposure to the FMCG industry being advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost management.
• Proficiency in P&L (Profit and Loss) management for financial control and optimisation.
• Analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making, performance monitoring, and process improvement.
• A positive attitude with the ability to build, lead, and manage high-performing teams.
