What does the job look like?

As a Telematics Analyst, you will play a vital role in managing and analysing Linfox’s in-vehicle technology to support on-road safety, compliance, and incident response. Reporting to the Control Room Manager, you will be responsible for interpreting telematics data and camera footage to identify risk trends, monitor driver behaviours, and ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

This role will see you engage closely with our operations, safety teams, and external regulators—delivering data-driven insights that help drive safer outcomes for our people and the communities we operate in.

This role is open to our Essendon Fields location, in addition to Hazelmere, WA.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor real-time events such as driver fatigue, speeding, and route compliance using telematics systems.
• Conduct daily health checks and static image reviews to ensure in-cab technology functionality.
• Investigate safety incidents and provide relevant telematics and camera footage to operational teams.
• Contribute to safety and performance reporting, including BU dashboards, executive reports, and monthly reviews.
• Identify and escalate unsafe or non-compliant driving behaviours.
• Assist with customer complaints and compliments, supplying relevant data to support investigations.
• Support the analysis and resolution of breaches in road compliance, collaborating with Workplace Relations as needed.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support to internal teams across multiple sites.

We’re looking for a safety-focused, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-tech, fast-moving logistics environment. You’ll bring experience from transport or logistics, strong analytical capability, and a passion for data-driven problem solving.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

• Experience in transport/logistics operations, with exposure to compliance or safety systems.
• Proven ability to gather, interpret, and report on performance data.
• Familiarity with Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
• Exposure to incident investigations (ICAM) and defensive driving techniques (desirable).
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
