What does the job look like?
We are seeking a proactive Transport Supervisor to oversee day-to-day transport operations at our Kemps Creek site, working Monday to Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, optimising resource utilisation, and maintaining compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. The Transport Supervisor will work closely with operational teams and management to drive continuous improvement and deliver on contractual and business objectives.
Key areas:
- Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and analyse transport KPIs, developing action plans to address performance gaps
- Maximise payloads and implement strategies for efficient route and schedule management.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardisation and problem-solving.
- Supervise driver performance, work allocation, and adherence to service metrics.
- Manage fleet availability, asset reconciliation, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, including fatigue and mass management.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and resolve service queries promptly.
Are you the one?
As a Transport Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our transport function. We are looking for someone who brings strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in transport or warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG or retail.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and manage infrastructure or equipment.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, finance systems, and relevant workplace legislation.
- Experience in customer service and managing subcontractor relationships.
- Knowledge of safety, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication and coaching skills, with a focus on safety and compliance
