What does the job look like?

As Team Manager at our National Distribution Centre in Somerton, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. From Receiving to Forklift, Picking, and Loading, you’ll lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where your leadership truly matters.

This is a Monday to Friday role (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) with two Saturdays on rotation every eight weeks. Key areas:

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse operations, with a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and driving efficiency.
  • Identify and address individual challenges, providing one-on-one support and creating opportunities for growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Champion safety and compliance standards, while meeting daily operational requirements on time.
  • Manage performance reporting and operational planning, ensuring accurate execution and continuous improvement.

As a proactive and results-driven Team Manager, you’ll take ownership of our warehouse operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. We’re looking for someone who communicates with confidence, leads with purpose, and knows how to inspire a diverse team to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced environment. You can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading warehouse teams and driving operational success
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing individuals and building high-performing teams
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced environment and confident in managing changing priorities
  • Confident verbal communication skills, including presenting information to groups.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
