What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to support major customer operations across South Australia. This role is critical to ensuring daily transport operations run smoothly, safely and in line with customer and commercial expectations. 

In your new role, you will be the key operational contact for our customer including managing load planning, subcontractor compliance, performance reporting and customer enquiries. This is full-time permanent opportunity with flexible working hours commencing between 6am - 9am, Monday - Friday. Key areas:

  • Managing daily customer communication and maintaining strong onsite customer relationships
  • Executing load plans while meeting safety, compliance, service and cost requirements
  • Monitoring and tracking loads end‑to‑end, including delivery status, container utilisation and customer allocation
  • Reconciliation of account queries and managing debtors and financial administration 
  • Prepare weekly KPI reporting based on transport movements  
  • Ensuring staff and subcontractors comply with all regulatory, legislative and company requirements
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and carriers

If you are a self-motivated individual who enjoys the day-to-day challenges of the Transport/Logistics industry, we can offer you on-going career development opportunities to help reach your potential. You can demonstrate:

  • 2+ years of experience within the Transport/Logistics Industry with a background in Operations or Account Management 
  • Exposure to financial processes such as cost reconciliation, invoicing and debtors
  • Strong administrative and reporting capability, with confidence managing high volumes of data
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally 
  • Confidence working across multiple systems including Transport and Warehouse management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage customer expectations and resolve issues
