What does the job look like?

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our new customer site in Derrimut. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is committed to safety and operational excellence, and enjoys working closely with customers, teams and stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, productive and compliant operations across the site. Key Areas;
  • Lead daily operational activities to ensure the timely receipt, dispatch and movement of freight.
  • Manage site safety, proactively identify risks and ensure full compliance with WHS, Linfox standards and customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, efficiency and service delivery.
  • Oversee site financial performance including wages, maintenance and discretionary spend.
  • Build strong operational capability through coaching, communication and leadership of team members.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting customer service and operational success.

Are you the one?

You’re a hands‑on, solutions‑focused operator who leads with confidence and clarity. You can demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in warehousing, transport or logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse systems, RF processes and operational workflows.
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively and support a positive culture.
  • A commitment to safety and confidence in managing WHS obligations and risk controls.
  • Skill in driving operational improvements and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and organisational capability.
  • Experience building positive customer relationships and delivering high service standards.
  • Competence using SAP or similar systems (desirable).
