What does the role look like?

As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial and financial management of customer contracts. You will partner closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide meaningful insights, ensure contract compliance, and drive performance improvements across a key customer portfolio.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll contribute to contract governance, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting the growth and development of both existing and new customer contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate weekly financial reporting, operational reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting packs
  • Provide timely, value-adding commercial and financial analysis to stakeholders
  • Ensure effective contract governance and compliance with commercial frameworks
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, including automation of KPI reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
  • Collaborate with operations, finance and cross functional teams to improve outcomes
  • Participate in performance reviews, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency

Are you the one?

You’re a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of finance and operations. You thrive in collaborative environments, bring strong attention to detail, and are confident communicating insights to a broad stakeholder group.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or similar
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a commercially focused finance or analyst role
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manage and interpret complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to BI tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in transport & logistics or exposure to SAP (highly regarded)
