What does the job look like?

This is a great opportunity to move into a critical control room role within our Resources & Industrial West operation, where you’ll play a key part in safety, emergency response and real‑time transport decision‑making. Ideal for someone looking to broaden their operational exposure and build a long‑term career pathway at Linfox.  This role provides coverage for night shift (10pm - 6am), weekend work is required.  Key areas:
  • Participate and commit to Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility requirements at all times
  • Freight planning, including coordination, planning and execution of urgent freight orders
  • Monitor and report on driver fatigue and welfare using fleet monitoring systems
  • Driver incident and breakdown coordination and response
  • Completion of accurate data entry, reports and record-keeping in a variety of systems including SAP TM, Excel and SharePoint
  • Assist with ad-hoc transport administration duties as required

  • A strong commitment to safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility
  • Experience in transport, logistics, mining or resource environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced setting
  • Confidence coordinating incidents, supporting drivers and responding to operational issues (OHS exposure desirable)
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Solid computer skills, with experience using operational systems (SAP TM desirable)
