About the position

Linfox requires a customer focused manager with a sound knowledge of transport operations to provide support, guidance and exceptional service to our customers who currently use the Road, Rail and Coastal interstate transport networks within Intermodal.

The purpose of this role is to retain, grow and service customers in accordance with the business strategy ensuring relationships are profitable and sustainable. This role also has a very important function to connect our customers to our internal stakeholders to ensure a flow of communication is maintained and to ensure that Linfox provides exceptional service. 

Reporting to the National Account Manager - Intermodal the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
  • Developing exceptional relationships based on integrity and service with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding customer requirements through regular contact to ensure that contract obligations and service standards are not only met but exceeded
  • Creating opportunities to grow the services we provide by tailoring solutions to client needs and staying ahead of market trends and opportunities to add value across all areas of transport solutions
  • Participating and/or leading contract negotiations in the best interest of the business and involving key stakeholders as required
  • Develop and guide the implementation of account specific business plans to provide a framework for continual improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Reviewing operational services in line with terms of business to ensure scope creep is managed and opportunities for added services are capitalised upon

About you

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain or related field.
  • Extensive proven experience in a business/supply chain operation. Experience in a fast paced multi customer environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and develop an understanding of both internal and external customer needs
  • Basic understanding of revenue models, rate cards, P/L, and cost-to-serve
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels whilst maintaining a professional and friendly approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills
