What does the job look like?

Join our Government & Defence team as a National Security Manager on a 4-month contact, ensuring adherence to Defence and government contract obligations while safeguarding operations. You’ll oversee personnel clearances, manage risk, and lead security audits to maintain the highest standards of compliance. Key areas:

  • Manage Contract Security Compliance
  • Oversee the management of clearance for Linfox employees at customer sites and the various levels of
    personnel security
  • Act as the contact point for inquiries in relation to security matters from customers and Defence Security
    Agencies
  • Develop Site Security Administrators to assist with local security compliance
  • Monitor site security procedures to minimise and manage risk of inventory loss or compromise
  • Conduct site security audits
  • Risk Management of any security related operation, process or procedures

Are you the one?

You are a strategic and detail-oriented security leader with proven experience managing compliance in complex Government and Defence environments. You excel at interpreting legislation, contract clauses, and security frameworks, while building strong relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to lead teams, manage risk, and deliver clear, evidence-based decisions ensures operational integrity and compliance at all times. You can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Security Manager or in a similar leadership role
  • Strong background in managing security governance, including sensitive product storage and movement
  • In-depth knowledge of Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
  • Familiarity with AGSVA clearance processes and security protocols
  • Demonstrated ability in risk management, investigations, and emergency response planning
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
